Getting Started
Create your first book, add chapters, and start writing in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Head to the registration page and create your free account. You'll need:
- Your name
- An email address
- A password
Step 2: Create Your First Book
Once you're logged in, you'll land on your Dashboard. Click Books in the sidebar, then Add New Book.
Fill in the details:
- Title — The name of your book
- Author — Your name (or pen name)
- Synopsis — A brief description of your story
Step 3: Add a Chapter
From your book's view, click Manage Chapters (the folder icon). Then click Create Your First Chapter.
Each chapter has:
- Chapter Number — The order in your book
- Title — Optional chapter title
- Synopsis — What happens in this chapter
Step 4: Create a Scene
Chapters contain scenes—smaller units of your story. Click Manage Scenes for your chapter, then Create Your First Scene.
Scenes let you track:
- POV Character — Whose perspective the scene is from
- Location — Where the scene takes place
- Timeline Position — When in your story's chronology
Step 5: Start Writing
Click the Write Scene Content icon (pencil) to open the editor. Start typing your story!
The editor features:
- Rich text formatting — Bold, italic, headers, and more
- Autosave — Your work saves automatically every 2 seconds
- Word count — Track your progress in real-time
- Element insertion — Reference characters and locations with a click
You're Ready!
