Key Concepts
Content Hierarchy
Your writing is organized in a clear hierarchy:
- Series (optional) — Group related books together
- Books — Your main writing projects
- Chapters — Major divisions of your book
- Scenes — Smaller units with POV and location tracking
- Drafts — Versioned content for each chapter
Elements
Elements are reusable story components that you can reference throughout your writing:
- Characters with traits and relationships
- Locations with descriptions
- Items, props, and artifacts
- Magic systems, organizations, and more
Tip
Elements can be inserted directly into your drafts. When you rename an element, every reference updates automatically!
